The Lilac Twinkletoes was our very first home-bred doe and boy did we hit paydirt!
Lilac should have the Elfin Acres Moniker but she ended up as a "The" instead. We still love her.
She was a jewel and got us firmly entrenched in Nigerians. Her production records were outstanding.
She had a distinguished show career and completed her permanent Championship.
In addition she attained Superior Genetics AND Elite Doe Status.
She has earned the 2013, 2014 and 2015 ANDDA TOTAL PERFORMER awards!
Lilac earned TOP TEN status for her 2014 Lactation with 1260# of milk!
Her first milk test in 2014 at 42 days she produced 7.1# of milk!
Her many daughters and sons have followed in their mom's hoofprints with exceptional Dairyness.
In May, 2018 Lilac went to OSU for a fertility evaluation. The CT scan showed only minor anomalies but also revealed an unidentified mass between her heart and spine. The prognosis was 'guarded' She could be happy and get along great or could degrade without warning. Her interpretation of the diagnosis was to go home and insist on a hot date with Antares. She graced us with a chocolate brown doeling on November 26. Little Butternut was understandably perfection in her doting mama's eyes. Mine too. The mom and daughter had cozy nights and days full of little goat adventures. Butternut perfected surfing on her mom. Lilac was happy with her darling girl. Sunday morning, 12/30/18 we discovered her sleeping the long sleep with her little one beside her. Cherished to the end.
Lilac you will be sorely missed but your legacy lives on. Here are a few of her offspring.
